Michael Henzell is a missionary sent from his local Church in Australia, (Dayboro Christian Family Church). In 2001, GOD placed in his heart a dream and a very strong vision to go to Bolivia to open an Orphanage within the jungle region of the Amazon. After studying and receiving an advanced diploma at "Strikeforce Ministry Training Institute" in Queensland, and it was confirmed to him to GO to Bolivia and be part of a solution to a growing problem. He arrived in Bolivia in 2003 and worked and lived in the city of La Paz for 2 years. In this time Michael gained experience and learned a sufficient amount of the language to finally head to the Amazon and put the vision of GOD to work. During his time in La Paz he worked along side a local Church "Ministerio Oasis" and was the Director of a house for boys of the street. At the same time, with a group from this Church, he continued to outreach and supply the needs to over 50 children still living in the street. In 2005, Michael arrived in Riberalta, a rapidly growing town in the north-east corner of Bolivia, right in the middle of the Amazon Jungle, to open Casa Segura (which means ´Safe House´). Since that time he has been working to fulfil the vision that God has given him.

The philosophy of Casa Segura is to provide orphans and street children of Bolivia with the abundant life available through Jesus Christ. We will provide these Godly principles along with a family structure, education and skills that will lead to opportunities in later life. Casa Segura exists to meet the needs of orphaned children in Bolivia; their physical needs, emotional needs, educational needs, social needs and spiritual needs. Our purpose is to give the forgotten children of Bolivia love, a family structure and hope for the future, that they might fulfil God’s destiny for their lives.

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves …Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
