Here you will find photos and news showing the month to month unfolding of the dream and vision GOD has given me. This is to build an Orphanage for the forgotten children of Bolivia.
February News
Howdy again to you all. Februarys long gone now and my news is late again. It was a great month, so many visitors and so much going on, the only problem was it went to quick. Mick, Bell, Emma, Andrea and Julia are all gone and now just two Aussies left (Kay and I). It was so much fun to have 7 Australians here all at once and most of all the kids loved it, they always get spoilt when they have visitors come to see them.
Schools back (yeah) , three months holidays here and the kids tend to go around the bend towards the end of them. Our school has grown so much, first year we had 7 students, second year 28 and now this year we have 40. So good as now we have enough kids to be eligible for all primary grades and so the government have sent us three teachers and soon a kindy teacher instead of us doing it. GOD is fantastic every time there is a need it is fulfilled. You can see in the photos the kids have a new uniform no more long pants with yellow shirts, they just got to dirty so now shorts all year round.
Unfortunately we have three kids leave us, Oscar, Pongo and Tito, they are fine just gone in other directions. As always there were three kids waiting to come in and fill there beds. Fernando, Ariel and Julio two brothers and their cousin. You can see there photos and tell who’s who on their profiles on the children link on the webpage. So still 18 kids and we are going to rest at that number for a bit till GOD sends more resources and people to help out. You can imagine Kay and I are pretty Loco with all of them. Not complaining as this is why I’m here and it just makes my life that bit more complete. Two of the kids (Gilson and Ricky) are still without sponsors so if anyone is interested please contact me and I can put you in contact wit Judy Levens who takes care of all that.
You can see amongst the photos a few things we got up to this month, like vaccinating the pigs, playing foot ball in the rain, swimming in the creek taking classes with the gringos, babies falling asleep in wheel barrows, the kids sending me a message for my birthday that says they love me (how cool). Yes another year older, bones are weak, hair still falling out, eye sight going on me, what else is supposed to happen around this age??????
Julia, Mick, Bell, Emm, Rene(he he), thanks for everything, keep in touch, come back soon. Thanks to all of you back home that continue to make this all possible, donations, sponsors, missionaries, prayers, GOD BLESS you all heaps.
Till next month, over and out.
Mik.
